Sadie Amara Calvano has become famous for the role of Violet Plunkett that she played in the CBS show Mom. Calvano born in California initially was interested in competitive gymnastics. However, she later decided to pursue an acting career. Her first screen appearance was in 2010 in an episode of the CBS series "NCIS,". The actress made her debut on the big screen one year later with the biographical "J Edgar". Over the years she's been recognized to be one of the top young actresses working in the current industry. In 2011 she won an award for a Young Artist Award nomination for the Best Actress in a Television Series, Guest Actress 11-15. In 2013, she was named a second time for an award called a Young Artist Award. This is for her role in Disney XD's "Kickin It'. Calvano was part of the cast of Mom for its first three seasons and was featured numerous times during the fourth. The actress won the Gracie Allen Award in 2015 for the Best Female Actor - Rising Star due to her performance in the show 'Mom'.
